After a well-deserved break, your day continues with a sightseeing tour to Paro Dzong, a stunning example of Bhutanese historic architecture, followed by a visit to the National Museum of Bhutan, where you’ll explore and learn about Bhutan’s rich history through its remarkable archaeological handicrafts and artifacts.

Celebration of Paro Tshechu Festival
Join the local community at Paro Rinpung Dzong in March to celebrate the vibrant Paro Tshechu Festival. People from all walks of life, dressed in their finest traditional attire, along with monks, gather at the dzong to partake in and witness the mesmerizing mask dances.

Drive Back to Paro via a Punakha stopover
Today, you will return to Paro to continue the vibrant Tshechu Festival celebrations. First, we will travel to Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan, where you can explore its diverse flora and fauna as well as immerse yourself in the rich history of the region. Along the way, we will make a stop at the iconic Dochu La Pass, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayan Mountain range. After an enriching tour of Punakha, we will drive back to Paro to conclude the day.

Welcome back to another vibrant session of the Tshechu Festival celebration in Paro. During your visit to Paro Dzong, you will have the opportunity to see the magnificent Thangka of Guru Rinpoche displayed on the dzong’s wall. Devout Buddhists circumambulate the Thangka, offering prayers for a prosperous and peaceful life. You can also enjoy tasting a variety of local snacks during the festivities.

Taktsang Monastery Sightseeing Hike
Today, embark on a remarkable hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang), one of Bhutan’s most sacred and awe-inspiring sites.
